Description:

AVID Summer Bridge ELD teacher for grades 7-8
Teacher must be able to commit to all employment dates



Effective Date of Employment:
June 8 - 26, 2026 (no school June 19)
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

  • up to 17 hours of creating and planning ELD curriculum and instruction prior to AVID Summer Bridge
  • 70 hours of instructional time (14 days)

Job Summary:

  • Implement AVID Excel Summer Bridge curriculum and plan instruction
  • Teach ELD standards aligned with curriculum of Independent School District 196
  • Collaborate with Cultural Family Advocates in order to support students and families
  • Carry out responsibilities as defined by ELD Leadership team, administration, and site coordinator
  • Maintain good communication and cooperation with students, staff and families


Qualifications:

  • Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach ESL
  • Strong general academic background
  • Ability to relate positively to students, staff and community
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation:
$40.00/hr.
