Functional Leadership
- Determines professional/ technical approaches and strategies for own function
- Develops policies and procedures for own function, in line with overall organization strategy
- Has responsibility for the function and reports to the site/ SBU head (and/ or to a Home Office functional leader).
Essential Functions - Utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively.
- Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress.
- Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals.
- Develops and directs reporting and tools to communicate strategic plans and concepts to leadership.
- Executes and enables an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function.
- May analyze and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital.
Required Qualifications - Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications - Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Business Administration or Related Degree
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Business Operations. Strategic Analysis. Strategic Project Management. Strategy Development. Strategy Management. Trend Analysis. Organizational Goal Setting. Strategic Planning. Risk Analysis. Long Term Planning.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
