Code‑Compliant Plate & Structural Welder (3G/4G)

New Iberia, LA | Full-Time | $21–24/hr

Is this you?

• Do you thrive laying down clean, consistent beads in flat, vertical, and overhead positions?
• Can you turn a blueprint into a precise fit-up—fast—without sacrificing quality?
• Are you comfortable working to AWS/ABS/DNV guidelines on modular and industrial builds?

What you’ll tackle

• Fit and weld structural components per drawings and specifications.
• Perform daily layout, measurement, and verification using tapes and gauges.
• Operate welders and shop tools (torches, grinders, and more) safely and effectively.
• Support multiple stages of production as needed to keep projects moving.

What you’ll need to succeed

• 2+ years in structural steel welding.
• Skill with welding machines, torches, grinders, tape measure, and hand tools.
• Fluency in blueprint reading and following specs.
• Ability to pass an onsite 3G/4G weld test and an offsite MIG test.
• Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied shop/field environments.

Preferred background

• Associate degree or technical welding certificate.
• 3–5 years of fabrication experience with strong MIG proficiency.

• Must pass background check and drug screen
