Location: Travel between hotel properties as needed

Company Overview

We’re building an internal hotel construction company capable of executing renovations across our growing portfolio of company-owned extended-stay properties. Our mission is simple: take underperforming hotels and transform them into efficient, comfortable, and profitable assets through aggressive renovation, operational excellence, and innovative rebranding.

We own several hotels that are currently undergoing renovation or conversion under the Stayable brand. The Electrician will support renovation and maintenance projects by performing electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades across hotel properties.

Position Summary

The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in hotel properties undergoing renovation or improvement. This role involves working with branch circuits, lighting systems, panels, and life-safety components while ensuring work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.

The Electrician will work closely with construction supervisors, maintenance teams, and contractors to ensure electrical systems are safe, reliable, and installed correctly.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation & Upgrades

  • Install electrical wiring, conduits, panels, outlets, and lighting fixtures during renovation projects.
  • Install and connect branch circuits for hotel guest rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry areas.
  • Assist with installation of electrical equipment such as HVAC connections, appliances, and water heaters.
  • Install and replace lighting systems in guest rooms, hallways, offices, and exterior areas.

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues including faulty circuits, lighting failures, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform repairs and replacements for outlets, switches, breakers, fixtures, and wiring.
  • Maintain electrical panels and distribution systems.

Safety & Code Compliance

  • Ensure all work follows applicable electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures when working on energized systems.
  • Maintain safe work practices when working in occupied buildings or active construction areas.

Life Safety Systems

  • Assist with installation and maintenance of:
  • Smoke detectors
  • Carbon monoxide detectors
  • Emergency and exit lighting
  • Coordinate with fire alarm vendors when needed.

Renovation & Construction Support

  • Assist construction teams during hotel renovation projects.
  • Support demolition activities by safely disconnecting and removing obsolete wiring and fixtures.
  • Install temporary power and lighting when required during construction phases.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of electrical experience in commercial, residential, or hospitality environments.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, panels, and lighting installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and basic blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety procedures and code compliance.
  • Valid driving license

Preferred

  • Experience working in hotels, multifamily housing, or commercial buildings.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
