The Secretary of State (SOS), Management Services Division is recruiting to fill a permanent, full-time, Analyst II position to work in the Safe at Home program, a program that allows victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, stalking, sexual assault, child abduction, elder/dependent adult abuse, and their household members and minor children to utilize a confidential address forwarding service to maintain their safety and privacy. The program also serves reproductive health care workers, volunteers and patients, and public entity employees and contractors who are in fear for their safety. This position is located in downtown Sacramento near a Light Rail stop.
Under direct supervision of the Safe at Home Operations Manager (Supervisor I), the incumbent performs a variety of analytical assignments requiring a high degree of initiative, problem solving, and accuracy to complete assignments. To maintain the trust of the Safe at Home participants, the incumbent must be able to work with confidential documents, be sensitive to the participant’s concerns expressed during telephone conversations, be comfortable in making public presentations and representing the program to large groups of people, and be able to differentiate the application of law and regulations when confidential information may be released to law enforcement, the courts, and other governmental agencies.
Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the SAH program enrollment, including but not limited to reviewing and processing applications and renewals, terminations for non-renewal, drafting and sending correspondence, preparing and sending of participant packets, and responding to all enrollment related inquiries. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting data collection and analysis to assess program efficiency, resource needs, and areas for improvement, and reporting on the findings to management on a routine-basis. The incumbent will also participate in the call center and serve as a customer support representative, by answering general questions about the Safe at Home program and services, referring to a variety of resources, and providing the status of enrollment applications, renewals, confidential name change requests, or general information.
