Job Description

We are seeking reliable and motivated General Production Workers to join our team. Based on current operational needs, employees may be assigned to a variety of production or assembly roles. Positions may include assembly, material handling, support roles, or other general labor functions, with a primary focus on hands-on production work.

Responsibilities

• Apply labels to products, parts, or materials according to work instructions
• Verify correct label placement, accuracy, and legibility
• Inspect labeled items for quality, defects, or inconsistencies
• Perform repetitive labeling tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Operate basic labeling equipment or tools as required (training provided)
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and quality standards
• Communicate issues or discrepancies to supervisors or team leads
• Assist with general production or labor tasks as needed

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• At least 6 months of experience in labor, manufacturing, production, or construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with general labor and production tools.
• Familiarity with construction and manufacturing environments.

Work Environment

Work in a leading Midwest manufacturing company specializing in cold-formed steel trusses and wood components. The environment can be hot in summer and heated in winter, with dress code requirements of jeans, shorts, T-shirts, and steel toes. Employees need to bring their own tape measures, while other safety gear is provided. Breaks include a 15-minute paid break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch for 1st and 2nd shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CASCADE, IA.

The pay range for this position is $21.07 - $23.07/hr.
