Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Grower to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and agriculture, with hands-on experience in greenhouse operations and outdoor cultivation. This role involves managing plant growth, ensuring optimal conditions for various crops, and contributing to the overall success of our agricultural initiatives.

The Grower will work under the direction of the Owner and Head Cultivator. They will aid Grower’s Assistants in all stages of plant growth, including but not limited to: watering, transplanting, preparing plants for shipping, moving plants, keeping labels organized, keeping records of work performed, planting and filling pots and containers. In general, a Grower is responsible for all things related to the production, growing and track and trace of plant material. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Working with management to establish production plan for crop cycles.
• Working with management to establish the proper staffing for production.
• Following through on Fertilizer Management Plan.
• Assisting in supervision of watering plants greenhouses in production.
• Responsible for workflow management of personnel (both mix house and assistants)
• Responsible for maintaining Cultivation Track and Trace entries.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining good records through both track and trace software and logs.
• Assisting in propagation of plants from seed, cuttings or divisions.
• Mixing of Soil and filling of containers
• Recognizing and managing pest problems
• Applying foliar applications however necessary
• Must obtain pesticide license by Jan 1, 2026
• Mixing and applying fertilizers where and when needed.
• Planting, and moving of plants when necessary.
• Preparing work for grower’s assistants to maximize efficiencies and minimize downtime.
• Maintaining facilities which includes, but is not limited to, repairs and retrofits.
• Keeping grounds in clean conditions, including keeping up appearances & managing weeds.
• Keeping machinery in working order, including performing preventative maintenance.
• Being available to work alternate holidays throughout the year as assigned.
• Working split week shifts (either Sunday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Saturday)

Other Requirements:

• As we are a growing business, 50 Hour work weeks are not uncommon.
• Ability to work in and walk through an eighteen-inch aisle.
• Ability to stand all day in hot temperatures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Plant Science, or at least 3 years professional experience growing plants commercially.
