Position Overview

Genesis Farms is seeking a dependable and hardworking Sod Harvester to join our field operations team. This role is responsible for harvesting, handling, and preparing sod for delivery while maintaining quality standards and supporting efficient farm production.

The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in hands-on work, and values teamwork in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate sod harvesting equipment safely and efficiently

· Cut, stack, and prepare sod for transport and delivery

· Assist with loading orders according to specifications

· Monitor sod quality and report issues or irregularities

· Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance

· Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times

· Support general farm operations as needed

Qualifications

· Agricultural, landscaping, construction, or equipment operation experience preferred but not required

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Strong work ethic and reliability

· Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

· Mechanical aptitude is a plus

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more regularly

· Comfortable working in heat, cold, and other outdoor conditions

· Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks

Work Schedule

· Early mornings and seasonal schedule adjustments as needed during peak harvest periods
